أعلنت المجموعة الأردنية للمناطق الحرة والمناطق التنموية بناءً على توجيهات دولة رئيس الوزراء الدكتور جعفر حسان، عن استكمال إنشاء مجموعة جديدة من الملاعب الرياضية في كورنيش البحر الميت، إلى جانب الملاعب التي تم إنشاؤها سابقًا، وافتتاحها أمام المواطنين والزوار تزامنًا مع موسم الصيف، في إطار تطوير المرافق الترفيهية والرياضية وتعزيز جودة الخدمات المقدمة لمرتادي الكورنيش.

وأكد رئيس مجلس إدارة المجموعة الأردنية للمناطق الحرة والمناطق التنموية، المهندس صخر العجلوني، أن المجموعة تواصل العمل على تطوير كورنيش البحر الميت ليكون مشروعًا متكاملًا يوفر بيئة سياحية وترفيهية ورياضية متطورة تلبي احتياجات المواطنين والزوار، وتسهم في تنشيط الحركة السياحية والاستثمارية في المنطقة.

وقال العجلوني: "نسعى إلى أن يكون كورنيش البحر الميت وجهة متكاملة تجمع بين الترفيه والرياضة والاستثمار، بما يعكس رؤية الدولة في تطوير المرافق العامة ورفع مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين والزوار."

ودعا العجلوني المستثمرين المحليين والأجانب إلى الاستفادة من الفرص الاستثمارية المتنوعة التي يوفرها كورنيش البحر الميت، مشيرًا إلى أنها تمثل فرصًا واعدة في ظل الإقبال الكبير الذي يشهده الكورنيش منذ افتتاحه.

ويضم كورنيش البحر الميت ممشى بطول 1.2 كيلومتر، ومسارًا للدراجات الهوائية، وجلسات مخصصة للعائلات، ومناطق للأنشطة الرياضية والترفيهية، وملاعب للأطفال، ومسرحًا خارجيًا يتسع لنحو 2500 شخص لاستضافة الفعاليات الفنية والثقافية، إضافة إلى مساحات خضراء ومرافق خدمية ومواقف سيارات تتسع لأكثر من 1200 مركبة، ليشكل بذلك أحد أبرز المشاريع السياحية والتنموية التي تعزز مكانة البحر الميت كوجهة سياحية واستثمارية متميزة على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي.

وتبدأ أوقات الدوام في كورنيش البحر الميت يومياً من الساعة السابعة صباحاً وحتى الحادية عشرة مساءً، طوال أيام الأسبوع ما عدا يومي الاثنين والثلاثاء.

New Sports Courts Completed at the Dead Sea Corniche

The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG), in line with the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, has announced the completion of a new set of sports courts at the Dead Sea Corniche. The new facilities have been added to the existing sports courts and are now open to the public in conjunction with the summer season, as part of the Group’s ongoing efforts to enhance recreational and sports facilities and improve the services provided to visitors.

Chairman of the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group, Eng. Sachir Al-Ajlouni, stated that the Group continues to develop the Dead Sea Corniche into a fully integrated destination that offers modern tourism, recreational, and sports facilities, meeting the needs of both citizens and visitors while supporting tourism and investment activity in the area.

Al-Ajlouni said: "Our goal is to make the Dead Sea Corniche a comprehensive destination that combines recreation, sports, and investment opportunities, reflecting the government’s vision of developing public facilities and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and visitors.”

He also invited local and international investors to explore the wide range of investment opportunities available at the Dead Sea Corniche, noting that these opportunities are highly promising due to the strong visitor turnout the Corniche has experienced since its opening.

The Dead Sea Corniche features a 1.2-kilometre waterfront promenade, a cycling track, family seating areas, sports and recreational zones, children’s playgrounds, and an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of approximately 2,500 people for hosting cultural and entertainment events. The project also includes landscaped green areas, service facilities, and parking spaces for more than 1,200 vehicles, making it one of Jordan’s leading tourism and development projects that further strengthens the Dead Sea’s position as a distinguished tourism and investment destination both locally and regionally.

The Dead Sea Corniche is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., throughout the week, except on Mondays and Tuesdays.
