Maisaa Ahmad Al-Mawajdeh
As the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan celebrates its 79th Independence Day, the nation continues its steadfast journey with unwavering determination and a noble sense of purpose. This celebration comes at an exceptional moment in history—one that tests the resilience of nations, their loyalty to principles, and their dedication to just causes. At the forefront of these stands Jordan’s dignified position under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may God protect him, in defending the Palestinian cause and championing Arab rights, despite relentless attempts to undermine the kingdom’s honorable stance.
Independence Day is more than a remembrance of freedom from colonial rule; it is a renewed pledge that Jordan will remain a beacon of wisdom, a pillar of regional stability, and a homeland defined by a unique mission—to defend two nations and carry forward two great causes with strength and dignity.
This journey has been built, brick by brick, through the hands of devoted Jordanians—guided by enlightened minds and hearts filled with unwavering love for their country. It is a journey of enduring sacrifice, led by His Majesty and His loyal Crown Prince, toward a stronger, prouder, and more radiant Jordan in a region often engulfed by uncertainty.
Over decades of adversity, Jordanians have proven themselves to be people of iron will and steadfast values. They have protected their independence with awareness and responsibility, elevating their country to a model of progress, balance, and moderation throughout the region.
In the face of escalating regional challenges, we are reminded that independence is not merely a celebration, but a renewed covenant of belonging, sincere effort, and selfless service to the nation. Jordan has always extended its arms to those in need and stood firm in defending justice—never compromising its pan-Arab identity or its national integrity.
Today, more than ever, this national occasion must be transformed into a launching point for greater achievement and solidarity, especially in the face of those who seek to threaten our national security or question our proud history and noble mission. The preservation of independence is a collective duty, a sacred trust—not a favor granted, nor a responsibility borne by a few.
Jordan now advances confidently along the path of comprehensive reform—politically, economically, and socially—under the wise guidance of its leadership and driven by a spirit that knows no defeat. The Kingdom remains a light in a darkened region, a model of devotion, and a voice of reason and honor.
On this remarkable day, we extend our sincerest congratulations to the Jordanian people and salute our Hashemite leadership for upholding our values, preserving our dignity, and shaping a legacy of which we are deeply proud.
May God bless Jordan with lasting peace, strength, and unity under the Hashemite flag.
And may our beloved homeland forever remain noble, proud, and free.
